Rachel Dawson named managing director for Precision Health

ANN ARBOR, Michigan – Precision Health at the University of Michigan has named Rachel Dawson as managing director. Her appointment begins Oct. 30, 2017.

Dawson comes to U-M from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she has served as assistant dean of career services for the past year. Prior to that she was director of professional development at Faegre Baker Daniels, where she directed lawyer training and development programs. She brings more than eight years of operations and talent management experience, leading operations staff, developing teams, and representing organizations with employers and donors.

Dawson earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.

“I am honored to be returning to my alma mater to provide the operational support needed to harness the wealth of talent at the University of Michigan in this significant collaborative effort that will ultimately improve and enhance health and wellness on the clinical level,” Dawson says.

Dawson will work closely with the Precision Health co-directors to refine and implement the strategic plan and vision. She will play a key role in developing the infrastructure and resources that will be offered through the initiative.

She joins Tina Creguer, senior project manager for Precision Health, who came to the initiative in July after serving as managing director of the interdisciplinary University of Michigan Injury Center for six years.
